8 Bible Verses About God’s Love

During the month of February, we are praying that our kids would know how loved they are. But here is the thing: as parents, I think it’s so easy to forget that the lessons we teach our kids about God apply to us too!

So when you tell your kids that God loves them…God loves you too.

When you tell your kids that there is nothing that they can say or do that will ever make God love them less…the same goes for you.

When you tell your kids that Jesus died for their sins, so that they can live forever…Jesus died for you too.

We have compiled a list of 8 verses about God’s love that we want to share with you. They are some of the lesser known verses, so maybe some will be new to you. I challenge you to memorize these verses as you can. Memorize them with your kids or just memorize them for yourself. Write them on notecards and take them out and repeat them all day long. This is how we fight our battles! When you have a moment of self-doubt, negativity, or self-loathing (we all have them!), recite one of these verses! The truth about God’s love that is found in His Word was written for YOU.

Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor my covenant of peace be removed," says the Lord, who has compassion on you.

Isaiah 54:10

But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

Romans 5:8

Know therefore that the Lord your God is God; he is the faithful God, keeping his covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love him and keep his commandments.

Deuteronomy 7:9

See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him.

1 John 3:1

But you, Lord, are a compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness.

Psalm 86:15

I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

Galatians 2:20

“The Lord your God in your midst, The Mighty One, will save; He will rejoice over you with gladness, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing.”

Zephaniah 3:17

“As the Father loved me, I too have loved you. Remain in my love.”

John 15:9
